As part of the Transition Year Assessment all the students were asked to present three pieces of work in a Portfolio Interview.
The students were asked to present three pieces of work that they felt proud of. The student was asked to bring evidence about the piece of work and explain what they had learned about themselves and gained from working on the piece.
The students presented in front on their mentor teacher and one other TY teacher in a 15 minute interview.
All we can say as a teaching staff was how blown away we were by our students. As this was our first time conducting these interviews we did not know what to expect from the students. We were incredibly impressed by our students ability to present and reflect on their learning. The students really engaged and lead the conversation about what learning had taken place.
The students will be asked to present 5 pieces of work in their Summer Portfolio Interview and the teachers cant wait to see what the students produce this time round.
