Our Transition Year debating team made their debute on Thursday 22nd October. The team consisted of Rebecca Burke Coloe (Captain), Aaron Rock, Leah Maher and Akos Simon, with Kayleigh Higgins acting as Chairperson and Cian Coffery as Timekeeper.

The EU can well afford to open its borders to refugees!
The opposing team was Deansrath Community College who strongly argued the motion.
The debate was well prepared and the adjudicator from Concern was very impressed with both sides, especially taking into account it was OLM’s first fixture.
